Human Resources Specialist I – $3,635 per month (SR-16)
Human Resources Specialist II -$3,933 to $4,785 per month (SR-18, Step C to H)*

Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant’s qualifications, and other relevant factors.

Duties Summary

Human Resources Specialist I: Serves in a trainee capacity, receiving formal and on-the-job training in the principles, concepts, work processes, regulations and reference materials fundamental to technical and professional aspects of human resources management; and performs other related duties as assigned. Human Resources Specialist II: Serves in a trainee capacity, receiving formal and on-the-job training in work processes, precedent situations, working relationships with other functions/agencies, regulations, contracts and reference materials of increasing complexity and integration with other functional areas of human resources management; performs a variety of basic and routine assignments consistent with training status; and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements: Basic Education/Experience: Graduation from a regionally accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree for Human Resources Specialist I and II. The education or experience background must also demonstrate the ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other documents; read and interpret complex written material; and solve complex problems logically and systematically. Specialized Experience: For Human Resources Specialist II only, six months of professional work experience in one or any combination of human resources management functions; i.e., recruitment, placement, examination, position classification, pay or wage administration, employee management relations and services, employee development, human resources program development and services, labor relations, and human resources research.
