Overview:
The Learning & Development Training Specialist will be a valuable member in contributing to Global Travel Collection’s (GTC) future. Supporting Employees, Advisors and Leadership, this individual will play a critical role in developing, coordinating and implementing learning and development opportunities at various levels of the organization, under the human resources/professional development department. The Training Specialist will leverage their strong communication and presentation skills to develop and facilitate engaging training sessions.
***This position can work from home in most states, however, this position cannot be completed in the state of Colorado.***
Responsibilities:
Align learning strategy and goals to support organizational transformation and future capabilities
Partner with the internal teams and subject matter experts to analyze training needs, determine success criteria/KPIs and how to report and measure success and ongoing learning.
Evaluate, develop, coordinate, facilitate and implement effective learning programs to support new and existing Employees and Advisors on various soft skill learning opportunities
Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate performance gaps and/or organizational needs and recommend, develop and curate learning experiences to develop employees and advisors.
Responsible for the design and development of curriculum, job aids and resource materials.
Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various skills training for employees and advisors.
Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers’ specific needs to maintain or improve job skills.
Maintains records of learning and development activities, attendance, results of assessments.
Assist various departments with employee engagement and culture building activities as needed.
Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in learning and development.
Qualifications:
Degree or certificate in learning and development or equivalent experience preferred.
Travel Industry experience and/or working with independent advisors a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in an independent contractor/advisor environment a plus.
Strong presentation skills. Ability to present virtually and in-person
Experience with Articulate, Captivate, Zoom and/or similar learning & development software a plus
Proven ability to design and implement effective learning and development courses
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
Excellent commitment to customer service with demonstrated ability to build relationships with colleagues, independent advisors and key stakeholders.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and changing environment
Some travel may be required
