We Are Hiring:
Patient Attendant Full-time St. Thomas Midtown & West As a Patient Attendant at Ascension St. Thomas you will be responsible for basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The patient attendant is required to be with the patient at all times including while the patient is showering, performing basic hygiene, and toileting. This position requires someone with excellent attention to detail and a thick skin. Many cases a patient attendant will work with will be behavioral health cases. You must be flexible to float between the Midtown and West campuses as the need arises. What You Will Do:

Perform basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).

Remain at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
Assist in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
Remove visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and report as appropriate.
Record all observations.
