JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the purchasing of raw materials, parts, supplies and equipment, and office supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Obtains the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible purchase cost.
Develops and ensures all elements of the purchase commitment are completed with proper required approvals.
Reviews requisition for accuracy and completeness, and prepares and processes assigned purchase order.
Monitors, reorders, and purchases items needed for inventory replenishment.
Creates and reconciles reports to ensure accuracy of payables.
Coordinates with vendors in accuracy on availability, price, and delivery of items.
Expedites the delivery of purchases as necessary to achieve production and customer demands.

Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures.
Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction; works under general supervision.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree required.
2 to 4 years of experience required.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
